It's a small world after all!

Sunday morning broke as another beautiful day. We had made plans to meet with Iris, whom I had met in Beijing and had gone trekking in the Great Wall with earlier back in June.

We picked up some delicious pastries from a local boulangerie and enjoyed our repast in a little park near our metro stop and then made our way over to the area where Iris is living since she returned from studying in China.

No, we didn't have any of these for breakfast, but I must admit we were tempted:

The park where we enjoyed breakfast:

Poor Sequoia being tortured by even more baked goods hahaha:

Being Sunday morning, the church bells were ringing almost constantly:

Another metro ride took us to the other side of Paris and into Iris' world.

It was great to see her again. We wandered around in a little shopping village near her metro stop and enjoyed a coffee where we spent some time catching up.

We went for a wander through a nearby park where there was a marathon being run and all the locals were out enjoying this gorgeous day.

We crossed the Seine and found ourselves in a very modern area.

And because it is always all about the food, we stopped at a little place for some delicious shared snacks and a beer.

I can still taste that fried Camembert!

A few photos and it was time to say goodbye and muse on where in the world we would next meet again...

In the way back to Montmartre, we decided to stop at the Eiffel Tower. Because we could. We had done the climb last time we visited Paris, but you really can't ever get tired of looking at it.

I really shouldn't mention the crepes.

We made our way home and decided to go wandering again.

I have truly fallen in love with Montmartre.

Dinner was yet another lesson in gluttony, being our last night in this gorgeous city.

Neither of us could finish... But it was very delicious and very French.
